Monday Losses and Wins

Mondays seem to be a struggle, but good things usually happen on Mondays. 
Last Monday, my day evolved a bit from the time I woke up to the end of the day.
It was like the 10th rainy day in a row and I did NOT want to get out of bed and do anything.


But then in English class, The Crucible woke everyone up! My students got really into it for the first time, which made me soooo happy because I love The Crucible! When we stopped reading for the day they said, "Can't we just keep reading?!" 
I said, "Oooooh... wait, are y'all ENJOYING The Crucible?!"
Sheepishly: "Yes..."
YAY!

Dropping a Golden Corral roll on the floor was a fail...



But the pizza Alex C. and I had after school was DANK.
First time at Uncle Maddio's and I will most definitely be back. (They have a great Monday special.)


Alex got a new Jeep (we both had Jeeps in high school so it's like the old days except more luxurious!) so we took it for a spin to.......


KRISPY KREME, WHERE ELSE?!?!
$3.99 for a dozen glazed because the Panthers won last Sunday, and as far as I'm concerned, the Panthers need to keep winning for this reason.

We had also taken some Cookout food into KK, so I was alternating between doughnuts, chicken, and seasoned fries. 
Heavenly.

Mondays really aren't that bad. Just uncomfy at first!

So I've been posting our story on our "The Knot" site. I've been posting in increments since I wanted to include the full story, but haven't had the time to sit down and type the whole thing! Also, I think people would rather read a little at a time... and it keeps everyone on the edge of their seat!! lol This was the first 'installment' I posted: For several years, they would glance at each other across the sanctuary at Oak View Baptist on Sunday mornings. They knew each other, but they didn't really  know  each other. Blah Blah Blah: Ramblings of a Nostalgic College Senior

So I think senioritis has a hold of me in a few different ways.  The main way it is affecting me is making me really emotional.  I honestly didn't think this would happen to me.  I mean, I was really sad to graduate high school when most everyone else was happy and excited.  Then I got to college and didn't like it that much at first.  I was really frustrated because I couldn't decide where to go, and when I finally did, I changed my mind and decided to transfer to HPU.  Well, I regretted that soon after because the whole reason I transferred was because I wanted to live AWAY from home...but after transferring once, it didn't work out to transfer again without losing too many credits, among other reasons.   So I was sour about being stuck in High Point while most of my friends from high school went off to college in different cities and states.  They were out on their own, having fun, and I was stuck living with my parents.  Looking back, i...
