So yesterday I bought these brown "riding" boots that I've wanted for a while from Target.  I was really excited to finally get them, and I had a gift card, so I didn't feel like I was really spending money...til I was walking out of Target.  See, I need to really start saving my money because next semester I'm student teaching, so I won't get to work nearly as much, if at all.  I'm pretty much counting on trying to sell my artwork and kinda live off of that money, at least for frivolous things.  My parents will give me money for gas and food, but I just feel weird letting them pay for my stuff after working and paying for all of my gas, food, and clothes since college started. Our Love Story

  Our Story This is how it goes... For several years, they would glance at each other across the sanctuary at Oak View Baptist on Sunday mornings. They knew each other, but they didn't really know each other. Beth went to High Point University, and Drew attended North Carolina State University. Years passed and sometimes they would say hey, but were usually too shy to say much else (yes, Beth Burroughs was shy around boys she thought were really cute). Even when they both accompanied the youth group on church camp trips, they didn't say much to each other. After college Drew moved back to High Point to start work and Beth moved to Boone to get her Master's at Appalachian State. The timing wasn't right yet....... Monday Losses and Wins

Mondays seem to be a struggle, but good things usually happen on Mondays.  Last Monday, my day evolved a bit from the time I woke up to the end of the day. It was like the 10th rainy day in a row and I did NOT want to get out of bed and do anything. But then in English class, The Crucible woke everyone up! My students got really into it for the first time, which made me soooo happy because I love The Crucible!  When we stopped reading for the day they said, "Can't we just keep reading?!"  I said, "Oooooh... wait, are y'all ENJOYING The Crucible?!" Sheepishly: "Yes..." YAY! #win Dropping a Golden Corral roll on the floor was a fail... But the pizza Alex C. and I had after school was DANK.
