ALSO (Celebrity Birthdays)
I like to celebrate birthdays and traditions, and since I saw on the Google home page that it is Charles Dickens' 200th birthday, I thought I'd post about it. (Then I got interested and found lots of other famous birthdays today) Charles Dickens is considered one of the most celebrated writers of the Victorian Era. He wrote memorable pieces such as A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities , and Oliver Twist . Another birthday today - Laura Ingalls Wilder, most famous for writing Little House on the Prairie . The writer in me is excited about these birthdays. Ironically, as I was thinking about the first two birthdays, I heard from a teacher I was observing (one of my old teachers who now teaches at the school I'm student teaching at right now) that it is John Deere's birthday, haha. He does "birthdays today" with all of his classes. John Deere is famous for inventing the steel plow, thus paving the way for countless pieces of farm machinery. H...
