Sweet Southern Pearl

  Came across the picture above this morning and it immediately sparked tears. This was the last Monday of my first year of teaching. I've posted so many "Monday Motivation" quotes this year and trusted in God's Grace and plan when it was unbelievably difficult. His Grace and sustenance have gotten me through the past year and it wrecks me to think about how much He cares for me and shows me joy even in the deepest valleys. This year hasn't been easy, but have I grown in ways I never thought possible? Yes. Have I learned to fully trust in my Lord and Savior? Yes. Has it been worth it? Absolutely. This was so perfect for my last Monday Motivation for this first year of teaching. "I'm holding on to your promises, oh God." ❤         I haven't done much to clean my desk off or anything... In case anyone was wondering, the limited-time-only s'mores frappucino at Starbucks is the best frappucino I've ever had. Desperately wishing it wasn't limited-time-only. Me and my buddy Meredith tried it for the first time yesterday and decided it tastes like the best smelling candle ever hahaha. It was also our first time having a mini frappucino. The mini is the perfect size for me - I can never finish a tall! I wish the minis weren't limited time too! :( But yeah. Go get one before they're gone! eBa

Y'all know I'm obsessed with candles... I got this one last night at Hobby Lobby. I'd been wanting it for a while, after buying different scents of the same brand for my family for Easter. IT SMELLS SO GOOD!!! I burned it last night while I cleaned, and it was amazing. Definitely gonna buy more. eBa

It's June!! June is one of my favorite months (if not my favorite, period). SUMMER BEGINS. School is out. It's warm. Vacations, camps, relaxation, weddings. Birthdays, sundresses... Exciting things usually happen. Can't wait to see what this June has in store!  eBa

Yesterday was the last Monday of classes! Honestly, it's surreal that my first year of teaching is coming to an end. This school year has really flown by. It makes me feel really good. The first year is the hardest, they say, and I've almost completed mine. Of course, all the end-of-year duties and tying up loose ends with classes has frazzled me, but nothing I can't handle.  Yesterday was June FIRST, and that's one of my favorite days of the year because June is probably my favorite month of the year. June, October, and December. But oh, how I love June. Summer starts. Vacations and camps happen. It's just a REALLY relaxing month. Always has been. I love summer and June is the beginning of a nice, relaxing summer. Yesterday was the first day of my friend Litsa owning her family's restaurant, Jimmy's Pizza. So me and Margaret went for dinner.
