Vacation Bible School

Every year I help out with Vacation Bible School at church.  With the exception of maybe three years, I've been involved in VBS every year since I was 3.  It's something I love to be a part of because I believe it is such a precious and memorable time for the children.  I know it is for me, even now.  I can't help but get a little teary-eyed every year for some reason as I watch the kids sing and dance and learn about the Lord.

This year, I helped in a third grade classroom and it was SO much fun! It was Ashley's first year as a non-student, since she's in middle school now, so she helped with the four year olds, and Zach helped the boys build rockets during craft time.  It was such a special week for all of us, and I hope the kids enjoyed it just as much as I did!

On Tuesday night, we had SIX children from our class decide that they wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior.  It was one of the most precious things I've ever witnessed.  I led them in prayer as they asked Jesus into their hearts, and that is something I will never forget.  VBS is SO important in the lives of children.

Here are some pictures that I took on the last night :)
