Love is Patient.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13

Love is patient.
Patience is something we all seem to struggle with, especially since everything is so instant nowadays.
Hello, INSTAgram! What's better than taking a picture of something cool and being able to instantly share it with everyone you know (+ the entire world if your profile isn't private)??
But true love is patient, and patience means a lot of things.
It can mean having patience in praying for someone out of love, and being patient that God will answer your prayers. (Sometimes these prayers can take YEARS. Sometimes God works on our patience that way.)
It can mean taking a step back instead of blowing up at someone when a situation arises.
It can be prayerfully and patiently waiting for God to work in your life or give you guidance.
God is so patient with us.
He shows us the picture of perfect patience. Think about how many times we screw up, just in a day, and how much He loves us still.
And how He works on us for years and years and how stubborn we are sometimes and how long it takes us to submit to Him and how He patiently works with us through it all.
Be patient with those that you love. Forgive them when they screw up.
Be patient in prayer.
Be patient waiting in line at the fast-food restaurant.
Be patient with the elderly.
Be patient with kids.
Be patient with your pets.
Live in patience.
Good things come to those who wait!!
Be still and know that HE is God.
Happy Valentine's Day!
